Every year libraries, comics shops, colleges, and schools around the globe celebrate the legacy of Will Eisner, the Father of the Graphic Novel.
Will Eisner was one of the first cartoonist to recognize the power of the medium to tell stories and communicate information in all genres. Every year the Will and Ann Eisner Family Foundation recognize libraries for their role in the growth of graphic literature by awarding three grants each year at the ALA Annualk Conference.
